Join Nanocomp as a full-time Engineering Project Manager in Lehmo, Finland. We are looking for a motivated and proactive professional to support engineering projects and develop manufacturing processes for advanced micro- and nanostructured optical components. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering, project, and sales teams, combining technical expertise with project coordination and customer collaboration. Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve engineering processes related to microstructure fabrication, including laser lithography, electroforming tooling, and UV imprinting
  • Take responsibility for technical engineering details and provide support for internal and external projects
  • Collaborate with project teams and Project Managers on engineering-related activities
  • Participate in customer communication together with sales and project teams
  • Identify development opportunities, prepare proposals for internal engineering projects, and manage their implementation

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Engineering, Optics or a comparable degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in optics, lithography, nano- and microstructures or cleanroom processes
  • Proactive, systematic, and solution-oriented approach to workStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Technology-, customer-, and goal-oriented mindset with the confidence to take initiative and drive projects forward
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Willingness to work on-site in the Joensuu area

Salary

The salary range for this position is 4000–4700 € per month for junior candidates and 5300-6500 € per month for senior candidates, depending on experience and qualifications.
